The formations of the two thoughts marked confrontation between the Confucianism and Mohism. They showed their differences and uniqueness in different aspects. However, “kindheartedness” and “Universal Love”, in essence, derived from the same origin, with “kindheartedness” the basis and source of “Universal Love”, and “Universal Love” the continuation, expansion and innovation of “kindheartedness”.
