One is called tangenttooth method, and the other is called zerobacklash of teeth. Mismatched tooth meshing analysis of planargenerated double enveloping worm gear pair shows that type Ⅰ worm gearing is not too sensitive to errors and that type Ⅱ and standard worm gear pairs are obviously sensitive. In this paper a method of modifying the mismatched worm gear pair is proposed. When worm gear pair is formed by standard worm and worm wheel generated by hob of type Ⅱ, its sensibility to errors is reduced while the worm gear pair is assembled originally and good tooth contact quality is acquired after its runningin.
