rase “on the move”. He said: “Americans are always on the move”. At the mom ent, the sound came from upstairs which was made by moving desks and chairs. So the teacher said: “The class upstairs is also on the move.” The students accept the language point with a big smile on their faces. D. Appraisal with Humorous Words Exercises are an important part in teaching process. Students finishing exercises can make themselves consolidate what they have learnt. While the teacher evaluating the exercises can make themselves know how much their students have learnt. So when the teachers appraise the exercises, they should use some humorous words. Now there is am example when a teacher read a piece of position: Your position is both good and original。 but the part that is good is original, and the part that is not original is not good. This remark not only points out the shortage of the position humorously, but also encourage the student to work harder. Ⅵ. Conclusion In this thesis, based on some main theories and related literature, I have found the effectiveness of humor in English classroom. Through the analysis on definition of humor, the classification of humor, theoretical basis and related literature and the present situation of English teaching in junior school, we find a new way by bining humor and English teaching with the purpose of making English classes more lively. That is reposition of the example, teachers use humorous jokes as the example in English teaching。 turning a joke into an exercise, when students finish the exercise, the fun will e into being。 improvisation of humor, the teacher will be humorous in different situation and appraisal with humorous words, the teacher evaluate students’ words with humorous words. They all are the abnormal forms. We should be skilled in finding out the inconsistent aspects from the harmonious things, and find out the speciality from normal things, and then speak out with the most natural intonation. As an English teacher who wants to produce humor in English, we should better our culture in English。 try our best to be skilled in the four application forms of humor。 and put them into practice masterly in English class. And another essential aspect is to accumulate humorous elements from our daily life with careful observation and frequent practice. It is the most fundamental that to bee a humorous person, who can produce humor in English skillfully. This thesis ventures on the analysis of creating a humorous context in teaching English. But as I go deeper into the study, I find that there are still a lot more questions deserving more attention. That is we should do more experiments on different students. So we can make the methods general. I hope that my tentative work will be of some help to the application of humor in English teaching in junior school. Notes 1 Xiao Sa, Humor Psychology[M].
