Aheartbrokenmanattheendoftheworld 引言中國典籍英譯隊伍主要由海外譯者（包括華裔譯者）和中國譯者兩部分人組成。1） 19世紀末至 20世紀初，以英國為中心； 20世紀中葉，以美國為中心； 20世紀末至 21世紀初，隨著中國國力的增強，逐漸轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橐灾袊鵀橹行摹?)中國典籍英譯已經(jīng)由以譯介為主發(fā)展到翻譯和研究并重。3）在繼承和創(chuàng)新方面，新的研究方法的流行與繼承傳統(tǒng)的努力已形成鮮明對照，許多學(xué)者大膽嘗試新的研究方法，西論中用已成為中國典籍英譯標(biāo)準與策略研究的一大特色。4）中西譯者和研究者兩支隊伍近年來的相互交流，中國典籍英譯研究的質(zhì)量有了很大提高。?對中國乃至世界文化思想影響最深的先秦古籍：?四書 (The Four Books)?五經(jīng) (The Five Classics)?《 楚辭 》 (The Verse/Elegies of Chu 或 Songs/Poetry of the South)，?《 左傳 》 (Zuo’s Commentary)、?《 戰(zhàn)國策 》 (Strategies/Intrigues of the Warring States； Anecdotes of the Warring States)? 四書的英譯通名為 :? 《 大學(xué) 》 The Great Learning? 《 中庸 》 The Doctrine of the Mean? 《 論語 》 The Confucian Analects/?
