aw materials created two intermediate of intumescent flame retardant, Synthesis of intermediate for flame retardant caged bicyclic ,6,7trioxa1phosphabicyc lo[2,2,2]octane(pound Ⅰ ) , and bis(2,6,7trioxa1phosphabicyclo[2,2,2]octane4methanol) chlorophosphate (poundⅡ ) is synthetic study. In the first step, the effects of molar ratio, reaction temperature, time and other factors on the product yields are discussed. The conclusion shows that n(POCI3):n(pentaerythritol) is 1:, temperature rise, react time is 7 hours, and alcohol as solvent for post treatment, the yield was attained up to 86%. In the second step, The conclusion shows that n(POCI3):n(poundⅠ )is 1:, the reaction temperature is 75~80℃ , production rate is 78%. The products were characterized by FTIR. Reaction conditions were also discussed. The result of thermal analysis showed that of they all have high thermal stability and execent charforming ability, deposition temperatures of poundⅠ ~Ⅱ were 300℃ and 340℃ .and residual carbon under 500℃ were % and %.
