He could make out t hr e men in a basket under i t and one of t hem was holding f ieldglases. When the bal loon was over t he stati on, the pi lot saw one of t he men taking photogr aphs. Soon afterwards, t he baloon began t o descend and i t l anded near an ai rfi el d. The poli ce were cal led in, but t hey could not ar est anyone, f or the basket contained t wo Members of Parli ament and the Commandi ng Of ficer of the st at i on! As t he Commanding Of icer explained l at er , one half of the stati on did not know what the ot her half was doing !
