Study on Parental Questioning Strategies in Parentchild Shared Picturebook Reading QIAN Jing ?。ˋrts and Humanities College， Changshu Institute of Technology， Changshu 215500， China） Abstract：Parentchild shared book reading plays a very important role in the development pf childrens early reading ability. The research takes 30 parents with preschoolers of 36 years old in a kindergarten in Changshu as research objects. Through observation and recording， the main findings are concluded as follows： parental questioning was of high frequency and low quality； questioning structure is single with a lack of hierarchy and parents asked more closeended questions with a lack of inspiration. The study aims to provide more reference for promoting the development of more effective parentchild shared book reading.
