Main Findings and Corresponding Reasons Inpatible English Teaching Materials in Rural English Teaching The new curriculum is a reform to the original course. The new curriculum reform attempts to absorb the best achievements of philosophy, sociology, psychology and education in the world, which more or less penetrates the new concept of modern education in the formation of new curriculum standard and the restructuring of curriculum structure, the choice of teaching content and textbook piled. The new curriculum program uses the successful experiment of curriculum reform of developed countries and developed areas as reference, which helps to operate and popularize in those developed zones in a large extent. However, time and practice prove that the new edited textbook is not quite suitable for the rural English teaching. The new curriculum is just a “Westernizing” in the concept and “urbanization” on move, so there is no any special textbook piled for the rural English teaching. Since the new “English curriculum standard” has been implemented and because of the unification of teaching standards, it makes the English teaching much more concrete and practical than the original syllabus.
