That is his petence from the God. The theme of running provides us food for thought. Forrest runs right out of those a leg knighthead and he starts running, he never stops. He runs far away from the bullies. He runs through college on a football scholarship. He runs through the flame and smoke of war in Vietnam and is awarded a congressional medal of honor. Also he runs to meet Jenny and wins her heart at last, and he is an amazing runner. He runs from adversity to success, he runs from ordinary to extraordinary, he runs so fast, so attentively and randomly. Just like the feather that floats at the beginning and end of the movie. Forrest runs freely and naturally to get his own destiny. Although in the film Forrest tells the reporters that he thinks about nothing but just feels like running. “I just feel like running. They just could not believe that somebody wills all that running for particular reason.” It sounds like Forrest is laughing at those reporters. Yes, a lot of people think too much. We can see that his running dose have meaning in the film, and also, in his life, “My mama always said, you have got to put the past behind you before you can move on.” That is the key point of running. It is no doubt that his amazing running gift as a miracle affects his whole life. Besides, it is a reflection of his positive attitude towards life, especially, “running gives people hope for life”. After Jenny has left him, he begins to run across America and persists in doing it for a few years. At first I assume that it is a foolish way for him to do so, because he wastes too much time performing such an idle thing. But seeing the film for many times, I have waked up to that he is pursuing his meaning of his life. During his trip, he also has some acpaniers. Although these people have followed Forrest for a long time, they do not know the meaning of it. IV. Conclusion I think that Forrest has some virtues that maybe most of us don’t have. He is simple, kind, brave and cordial. I think this is the most important reason that leads him to great success. When we deal with something, we always consider if it is good for us, but Forrest never thinks of it. For example, he does not know why he joins the army. During the severe battle, he goes back to the battleground to save his friend in spite of great danger. And he does without think of the difficulty of it. Secondly, he is faithful. He has loved Jenny since he was young, and he never thinks of finding a better woman. To carry out the promise, he became a captain of a shrimp boat, and made a lot of money. Thirdly, he is optimistic in everything. We can see that Forrest is never sorrowful. I think we should have an optimistic philosophy. There must be lots of difficulties in every person’s life. Forrest can try his best to make his life perfect. So we also can try our best to make a colorful life. Just as that sentence says “Life is like a box of chocolates: You never know what you’re going to get”. The Feather, in my opinion, at the beginning and the end of the movie represents the destiny. The feather floats here and there。 even a little breeze makes it fly. Everyone39。s life, either in the movie or in the reality, is always full of changes. There are two different opinions on destiny in this movie, one is that life has its own plan and nobody can change it, while the other one is that life depends on yourself. As far as I am considered, we can control our life just like Forrest. We should try our best to do everything that we want to do. At the end of the film, the beautiful feather is going on floating in the sky. Anyone who has ever seen the film Forrest Gump will learn that life is like the beautiful feather, which can be changeable with the breeze in the sky, but we should try our best to control it. And at last we will get what we want. In my opinion, a lot of people do not like Forrest Gump. They are much smarter than him, but they will not have the courage to keep the promise of shrimp. They may think keep such a promise is stupid. But “Stupid is as stupid dose.” That is Forrest’s particular character. Compare d with Forrest, people today have too many plex desires in their lives, so when they meet those people like Forrest, they may regard them as stupid, but are they really right? We have lost so many virtues. From my point of view, we should take advantage of his merits to build up our new moral standards. Thus, we can lead a splendid life in the foreseeable future.
