Within the past five years, GDPS has set up topic courses and module courses of Eamp。SD, which include constructing an energyefficient and environmentalfriendly society, interjurisdictional coordination of Eamp。SD, and build Guangdong a livable and beautiful province, etc. The topic and module courses of constructing an energyefficient and environmentalfriendly society introduced the background, significance, the ideology, the path, the methods, the legislations and the policies of constructing an energyefficient and environmentalfriendly society. This es in two forms. The first one is to set up a 34 days module course related to constructing an energyefficient and environmentalfriendly society for the Classes B of Young and middleaged Cadres and the classes of section directors of provincial governmental departments. The second is to design a 1day teaching for classes of directorgenerals at municipal level and classes of section directors at prefectural level.II Module Course for the Classes B of Young and Middleaged Cadres and the Classes of Section Directors of Provincial Governmental DepartmentsGDPS had two classes for the training program of young and middleage cadres. Students were consisted of directors and deputy directors. Each class was split up into two study groups with 40 students each. The syllabus was consisted of many modules and topics. “Constructing an energyefficient and environmental friendly society” was one of the modules. From 20062008, 454 students from classes B of young and middleaged cadres and 508 students from classes of section directors of provincial governmental departments have taken this module course, which totalled 962. Teaching syllabus and schedule Under the direct leadership of Vice President Zheng Chuxuan, the three lecturers, Zheng Zhiguo, Fu Erlin and Cheng Yuyan, were responsible for planning and lecturing。 Deputy Director, Wu Shuna, was responsible for internal liaison。 Director of Information and Network Centre, Liang Ziming, was responsible for collecting audiovisual data. Cooperation among all staff had guaranteed the successful acplishment of the teaching tasks.Table 2 is the syllabus and timetable of module course of the first semester in 2006. Each of the three lecturers gave one lecture each during these four days. A report by speaker from outside GDPS was arranged. Students also conducted a study visit to Zhujiang Brewery Co. Ltd. After the trip, students were asked to discuss the trip in groups and then followed by student forum and Qamp。A session. The contents of the syllabus remain the same although an additional survey is required. Teaching methods LectureEach lecturer was responsible for one of the three teaching tasks. The basic contents of the lectures were drafted by the project team under the supervision of Vice President Zheng Chuxuan. From the basic contents, the lecturers drafted the syllabuses and the lecture slides. Vice President Zheng Chuxuan then discussed with the lecturers and made any necessary adjustments. Each lecture lasted two hours with a short break in between. In order to avoid duplications, a lecturer would sit in a lecture while another was teaching. To better learn about students’ opinions on the course, two questionnaires were designed, and distributed to students. Table 4 shows exacts of the results of the questionnaires.1.
