However, in the AC magnetic circuit, the alternating magnetic flux causes the induced electromotive force in the coil as well as in the core. As a result, the induction current eddy, is generated in the core. Generally, the small resistance of the bulk metal leads to great eddy current, so the iron core was heated up quickly. The heat caused by that is harmful to AC motors and transformers and other equipment. However, there are other equipment making use of the principle in a clever way. The paper will use the theory of electromagnetic field to discuss first the eddy current distribution and loss in conductor, and then their application for equipment and industry.Keywords: electromagnetic field。 eddy current。 eddy current loss。 Induction cooker13
