Using technology of association rule mining, alarm correlation rules can be discovered from tele network alarm databases. The discovered rules are useful in locating problems in the network and filtering redundant alarms. In this paper, the alarms from tele networks are discussed and then an associationrulebased model for tele alarm correlation analysis is introduced. The model gives an approach to bine the correlated alarms to form an alarm transaction. The approach not only solves the problem of loss of synchronization of correlated alarm in the network, but also reduces the number of rules in the result. With this approach, general tools of association rule mining can find the interesting alarm correlation rules.
