【正文】 ② spend time ／money (in) doing sth. 花費時間（金錢）做某事。eg: They spent two years (in) building this bridge. 造這座橋花了他們兩年時間。③ 區(qū)別spend, take, cost和pay的用法A: spend的主語必須是“人”，賓語可以是錢、精力、時間等B: cost的主語必須是“物”或“事”，表示“費用”、“耗費”，后接life, money, health, time等， 側(cè)重于花費的代價。注意：cost后不能與具體的時間長度連用，只能與表示抽象概念的時間短語連用。如：some time, much time, ten years of hard workeg: Making experiments like this costs much time and labor. 做這樣的實驗要花很多錢。C: take后面常跟雙賓語， 常見用法有以下幾種：(1) It takes sb. ＋時間＋to do sth. 做某事花了某人多少時間。eg：It took them three years to build this road. 他們用了三年時間修完了這條路。(2)doing sth. takes sb. ＋時間,做某事花了某人多少時間。eg：Repairing this car took him the whole afternoon. 他花了一下午修車。D: pay的基本意思是“支付”，作為及物動詞，賓語可以是“人”、“錢”(1) pay (sb.) money for sth. 付錢（給某人）買……。eg：I have to pay them 20 pounds for this room each month. 我每個月要付20英磅的房租。(2)pay for sth. 付……的錢。eg：I have to pay for the book lost. 我不得不賠丟失的書款。(3)pay for sb. 替某人付錢。eg：Don’t worry! I’ll pay for you. 別擔(dān)心， 我會給你付錢的。(4)pay sb. 付錢給某人。 eg: They pay us every 。（5）pay money back 還錢。eg：May I borrow 12 yuan from you? I39。ll pay it back next week. 你能借給我12塊錢嗎？下周還你。（6）pay off one39。s money還清錢。9) orginise: 組織，安排 vt.eg: We decided to organize a party for Christmas. 我們決定為圣誕節(jié)組織一個晚會。10）calculate: 計算，估計 vt.eg: I calculate that we will reach London at about 3 . 我估計我們大約在下午三點到達(dá)倫敦。11）pare: 對照，比較 vt.pare A and/with B: 把A和B作比較eg: My English cannot pare with his. 我的英文水平不如他。pare A to B: 把A比作Beg: Children are often pared to happy birds. 孩子常常被比喻成幸福的小鳥。12) state: 陳述，聲明 vt.eg: Please state your address and telephone number clearly. 請清楚說明你的電話和地址。Step7 Assignments1) Review the new words and expressions.2) Choose one passage, write a English review.3) Preview “Writing and Grammar” part.
