For them, to bee successful does not rely on one specialized skill, but a bination of different skills, and the more skills they have learned, the more likely they are to succeed. On the top of the essential skill list is numeracy skills. This involves the ability to work with figures, to calculate sums quickly, make fairly accurate estimates and to understand things like pound interest and basic statistics. Socializing skills are also important because a large social network not only creates ties to a body of people but also creates a network of relationships, which allows access to a large pool of resources and opportunities. Other skills such as decision making, critical thinking as well as public speaking are also important general skills that will help anyone to get ahead in practically any field. We live in a diverse world and consequently it is necessary for a person to have a range of different skills in order to achieve success.
