When the English expression have color words, but the color word has extended meaning, the translator must understand the language of the color words by the virtue of the culture background and history instructions, under the premise of mean equivalence with the words to translation. Such as: black leg (騙子), “black dog (憂郁,不開心)”, “black smith (鐵匠)”, “a white lie (善意的謊言)”, “everyone of the family is in the pink (合家歡樂)”, “the bloom of youth（紅顏)”, “a favorite with somebody in power（紅人)” got to begin well (開門紅). It can reflect people39。s mental, emotional, emotional, and spiritual states. Through the study of English and Chinese color words, from a perspective on the English and Chinese language and cultural differences, so as to achieve the two kinds of language and culture to municate effectively.3. conclusionAs the carrier of cultures,language absorbs different cultures of different nations. Color words, as important parts of language, express special characteristics and customs. The influence of the social culture to the color words is deeprooted.
