From going through the material of Premier Wen and analysis of the content, we know that “grass root” in fact means the class origin. So the headline can be translated into “ 來自平民的大國總理—溫家寶用其腳踏實(shí)地的工作作風(fēng)贏得人們的愛戴” Principles of English news headline translationIn order to satisfy the specific requirements, many scholars proposed various criteria on translation, from “faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance” of Yanfu to “functional equivalence” of Nida.
