(3) 適當(dāng)?shù)厥褂帽粍诱Z態(tài)。 被動語態(tài)比主動語態(tài)顯得更有禮貌，因為它避免指責(zé)動作的執(zhí)行。 例如： You made a very careless mistake during the course of 改： A very careless mistake was made during the course of shipment. You didn’t enclose the price lists in your 改： The price lists was not enclosed in your letter. (4) 盡量避免使用帶有強(qiáng)迫語氣和引起不快的詞語 。 有些詞語，像 demand, 意思是 asking for (sth.) as if ordering 或者 as if one has a right to, 即具有強(qiáng)迫命令的語氣不應(yīng)使用，而應(yīng)當(dāng)改為 request。 又如： disgust,意味著 hating 有 strong feeling of dislike or distaste之意，不應(yīng)當(dāng)使用，又如： must refuse, 帶有脅迫性的語調(diào)， want you to,帶有傲慢和長者的口吻等，應(yīng)改用其他方式表達(dá)。 (5) 使用表示高興、感謝和遺憾等詞語。 1）高興和樂意的表達(dá)法有： It is with pleasure that we have reached an agreement on all the terms.(所有條款達(dá)成協(xié)議 ) It is a pleasure for us to sign such a sales contract.
