【文章內容簡介】
surround us every day. One of these miracles happened to me recently. I was filling my car39。s tank at a local gas station. It was only 10 . but I already felt tired. It was a cloudy, gloomy and rainy day and I hadn39。t slept well the night before. After I paid for the gas I turned my car towards the main road. I looked right and left then my brain sent the signal for my foot to push on the gas pedal but nothing happened. Shocked, I shook my head to clear it and gazed down at my foot. Just as I did, though, a truckrushedpast my car doing 60 mph. My weary eyes hadn39。t seen it when I had looked just 2 seconds earlier. If I had been pulling out when I should have been, my little green car would have been smashed and I would have most likely been killed. I sat there for a long time quietly thanking God for sparing my life before pulling out on the road and heading home. This time both my brain and foot worked perfectly. As I looked back on that moment later I still couldn39。t understand it. Did God prevent my brain39。s signalfrom reaching my foot? Did an angel hold my toes to keep them from pressing on the gas? One question kept ing back into my mind as well: why? Why did I get this miracle? Why did God spare my life this day? Finally, I felt the answer forming deep within my heart and mind. I heard the words ing from my soul saying: “You still have more to do. Your work is not done yet!” Richard Bach wrote: “Here is the test to find if your mission on Earth is finished: if you are alive it isn39。t.” Wake up each day then knowing that your mission isn39。t done yet. You have more love to share, more people to help, more kindness to give. You have one more day to be the miracle God meant for you to be.(1)The underlined word “gloomy” probably means_________. You have more love to share, more people to help, more kindness to give. You have one more day to be the miracle God meant for you to be. 可知作者每天醒來,知道自己的任務沒有完成,有更多的愛去分享,更多的人去幫助,更多的善意要給,還有上帝將奇跡給你的一天。所有作者對生活是積極的態(tài)度。故選A?!军c評】考查對篇章的把握和對細節(jié)的識別能力,答題時注意緊扣問題中的關鍵詞,在文章中尋找答案。6.閱讀理解 That year, I was a Junior 2 student. Falling off the stairs hurt me in the head. Almost everyone thought I was dead. But they were wrong. However, it was difficult to get back to normal (正常的) life. I had to leave school and learn everything, walking, talking, and yes, maths. To help me with that task, Mrs. Pillar volunteered to e to the hospital and later to my house once a week. We began with basic maths skills. As time passed by, I made progress. I remembered very vividly how she came to my home on Sundays, sat with me at the kitchen table, and threw different coins on the talbe. She asked me to show her 38 cents, 17 cents, 63 cents. It was challenging, but she also made it fun. After a year and a half, I had progressed a lot, both in body and mind, to return to school. Seven years later, I graduated from the University of Texas at the top of my class. As year went by, I always kept in touch with Mrs. Pillar. Unluckily, one day my parents told me that Mrs. Pillar had been in hospital because she suffered a stroke(中風). Now it was my turn to help her. Mrs. Pillar lay in bed, unable to speak and know anybody around. I pulled some coins out of my pocket, dropped them on her bed, and asked her to show me 12 cents. The nurse thought that my action was very strange until one day Mrs. Pillar smiled happily as I began working with her—just as she had worked with my years before. She make progress every day and was moved out of ICU(重癥監(jiān)護室) and finally out of hospital. One day, I called to wish her a happy New Year. She spoke into the phone excitedly, “Happy New Year to you and your family, Michael. Thank you for everything you39。ve done for me.” I quickly said, “Thank you for everything you39。ve done for me.” Mrs. Pillar was one of my Junior 2 teachers, but she taught me so much more about life than only maths.(1)Which of the following is the correct order of what happened in the story?a.
