Firstly I’d like to analyze the teaching materials. This unit provides a real situation for the Ss to learn “introduce new student to students or teachers” and learn the new structure which base on the 3B of Oxford Primary School English’s structure and know the words which the names of the jobs. It can cultivate Ss’basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. I will use four lessons to teach this unit. Today I’m going to talk about the first lesson.Secondly. Teaching aimsAccording to the teaching materials I make the following teaching aims: 1, to enable Ss to listen, say, read and write the words: a student, a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a boy, a girl, a man, a woman.2, to enable Ss to listen, say, read and write the structure: Who’s that…? He’s/ She’s… He’s/ She’s a….3, to develop Ss’abilities of listening and speaking. 4, master the job’s name.Thirdly. I also arrange individual work、 pair work、 group work for Ss to practice English. The CAI、the tapes、a recorder、 the cards of word 、a stethoscope and so on will be needed. Guide Ss to say “girl” and write it on the blackboard, lead the Ss to read the word. Then I point a girl who is in the classroom and ask: Who’s that girl? Then I write the word and sentence: “He’s a doctor.” on the blackboard, lead the Ss to read them. I present a student, a teacher, a nurse in the same way.Purpose: As we know, Ss are characterized by image thinking. They can understand the content with the help of the real situations. Step 3: Practice In this step I design sing a song and a guessing game.Firstly, Let the Ss have a rest, sing a song:Who’s that girl Secondly, I play a game with Ss. For example: with the help of the CAI to present a girl who has a mask on her face. Let the Ss ask: Who’s that girl? The student guess: She’s sb. She’s a nurse. Then I show the answer: Yes, She’s sb.
