When his sister was going to elope with Wickham, Darcy prevented the ridiculous farce. He cherished his sister so much. It is reasonable making a charge against Wickham, but with a view to the reputation and dignity of Geiana, he gave up. The similar case does not e singly but in pairs, Wickham seduced Elizabeth’s sister, Lydia, to elope with him, which gave a huge strike on the Bens. It was a scandal to whole family. The Bens were in disgrace. It may break their reputation and make a obvious obstacle to the other sisters who have no married. Darcy solved all the problems and let Lydia keep the secret.
