Communicative Competence and Crosscultural Communicative Competence Communicative petenceAn American professor in linguistics mentioned the term municative petence for the first time that was conceptualized with human possible ability involving in linguistic knowledge and petence in order to use the language well(Jia Yuxin,1997). According to the concept, four important parts are equally important to build good municative petence. They can be expressed with excellent grammar, high fitness and well suitability, together with high enforcement. From where the professor is stand, on one hand, one’s grammar skill and linguistic capacity should be took into consideration as for building one’s municative petence。 meanwhile, similar words or expressions like “sorry” and “excuse me ” are considered to be powerful words with magic, and they are also internalized during the process of being more social. Their most obvious purpose is to be polite and civilized. Only those people having different cultural backgrounds all put enough stress on sharing these rules in using language, can they avoid such feelings like the natives’ discrimination and dishonesty as well as giving a bad image of your own culture. Not only the particular connections between culture learning and language learning but also the difficulties and challenges can be found in the process of teaching and learning culture in one language schoolroom. Understanding foreign culture is not easy but highly tough and to res challengeablechallengeable pond correctly to foreigners。 for another, knowledge in schematic level in order to input cultural and social characteristics, at the meantime people can only acquire the knowledge in a certain social situation in which kids are able to learn the way to associate the natural language with properties or characteristics of a culture(Liu Liying,2001). What’s more, various cultural environment can promote to make choices in many aspects of life, which will influence human feelings about the society in perception and linguistically determine how to express ourselves. So it is safe to conclude that essential and indispensable relations can express or indicate the relationship between culture learning and language learning. And it is also true in terms of the relations among language and culture.The researches on crosscultural munication are the very foundation of the relationship, being essential and indispensable, between culture learning and language learning. Furthermore, several causes or reasons can be found from the connections between the two.There is no doubt that language work as the carrier and is an indispensable section of the given culture, and the given language will be greatly effected by culture as well as language can reflect culture. In addition, the transmission in language is the core part of their relations, from the last generation to the next generation culture and language are both spread. So differences are not very obvious between prehending culture and understanding language。 and culture is definitely not inborn but actually learned. Members in a certain culture will pay much attention to their behavioral models and patterns of thinking when they are accustomed and internalized. However, not in physical categories but in mental categories culture learned by others is found mostly, and only when people confront challenged and different events they can be thought back. Just as there are several persons and they own respective cultural backgrounds and represent their unique type of culture whereas they municate each other not in isolation but with some connections. At the same time, everyone can learn various cultures during his or her life if you desire to learn these diverse cultures. And one can better understand cultures unlike yours only if you succeed in dealing with the connection between the two.Culture is not still but quite dynamic and very changeable.
