【正文】 had lost his wallet while taking his savings to the post office. 1)the local butcher，當(dāng)?shù)氐娜怃伬习濉Ｔ摱陶Z在句中用逗號隔開，作為Sam Benton的同位語，補(bǔ)充說明其身份。 local，當(dāng)?shù)氐摹！ ?)注意taking his savings to the post office中的taking...其實(shí)是省略結(jié)果，其完整形式為while he was taking。之所以能夠省略，是因?yàn)榍昂髢删湓挼闹髡Z是相同的，都是the butcher?！ ?)注意savings一定要用s形式才能表存款。 4)注意給學(xué)生介紹，郵局也有儲蓄功能，即便在沒有郵儲銀行之前，郵局也有過儲蓄的功能。所以，課文里會說到the butcher帶著儲蓄去郵局的情節(jié)?！ am was sure that the wallet must have been found by one of the villagers, but it was not returned to him. 1)be sure that...，肯定...。that后接賓語從句?！ ?)return sth. to sb.，把某物歸還某人?！ hree months passed, and then one morning, Sam found his wallet outside his front door. 1)“時間段+passed, and then...”可以用作常用句型，表示“過了多長時間后，事情發(fā)生了。 2)注意區(qū)分passed(動詞，經(jīng)過)和past(介詞，經(jīng)過)?！ t had been wrapped up in newspaper and it contained half of the money he had lost, together with a note which said: ‘A thief, yes, but only 50 percet a thief!’ 1)wrap up，打包、包裹?！ ?)contain，包含、含有?！ ?)注意he had lost用作money的定語從句，中間省略了that/which。 4)together with sb.，與某人一起?！ ?)which said...用作note的定語，注意said表示“寫著”?！ ?)per cent，百分之...。注意也可以連起來寫作：percent?！ wo months later, some more money was sent to Sam with another noteamp。quot。 ‘Only 25 per cent a thief now!’ 1)時間段+later，多少時間之后?！ ?)another，另一個、在一個。也可以后接附復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞?！ n time, all Sam’s money was paid back in this way. 1)in time，最后、終于?！ ?)pay back，償還?！ he last note said: amp。quot。I am 100 per cent honest now!amp。quot。 honest，誠實(shí)的。注意honest的h不發(fā)音。
