This kind of sentences can be called expanded simple sentences. An expanded simple sentence is usually a paragraph. Journalistic English, as an important English style, has received and will receive more anymore attention, for Journalistic English is a basis on which we study the tendency of the development of English. However, the above analysis on the grammatical features of Journalistic English is not very deep going and prehensive.
