Machine (Equipment), Method (Procedures), Measurement, Materials, Mother Nature (Environment), People As the team leader, prior to working with the team to develop the Map, always walk the process first!!! Company Confidential BB_M02 Process Version 3 January 20xx 23 Process Mapping 8 Step Methodology 1. Define the scope of the process the team needs to mapped. Start amp。 Stop Point (from the Project Charter and SIPOC) 2. Determine whether you will use a – Process Flow Map – Deployment Flow Diagram 3. Document all tasks or operations needed in the production of a “good” product or service (it would be extremely beneficial to include DPMO, cycle time, and COPQ at each step). 4. Document each task or operation as value or nonvalue add. 5. Locate any Standard Operating Procedures or documentation that identifies how that task is to be executed. 6. List both internal and external Y39。s at each process step. 7. List both internal and external X39。s at each process step. Classify all X39。s as one or more of the following: – Controllable (C): these are inputs that you can adjust or control while the process is running (...., speed, feed rate, temperature, pressure, etc) – Noise (N): things you cannot control do to cost or difficulty (ambient temperature or humidity, operator training). 8.
