When the auto is running, the driver may need to tread the pedal or release the clutch pedal so that the engine and gearbox temporarily separate and progressively joint together, to cut off the engine or transmit the power input from transmission to the engine. In recent years theca spring clutch is a kind of clutch that is widely adopted in vehicle and light vehicle. It has great capacity of torque and is more stable, easy to manipulate with well equilibrium. And it also can be produced in batch. So the research of the clutch is being more and more important. This design manual of the light vehicle theca spring clutch elaborates on the construction, choosing parameters and process of calculate.This paper is to design the singlecar theca spring clutch. According to vehicle conditions and parameters, and in accordance with steps andrequirements of the clutch system, mainly focusing on following work:to select the main parameters, such as, the determination of frictiondiameter D, the determination of clutch reserve factor, the pressure on the units identified P.
