The failure is contributed to amounts of inclusions and net2like carbon in M300 steel aswell as tempered brittlity of M300 steel at high temperatures. Meanwhile, Fe2Zn corrosive pound formed by chem ical action between zinc alloy melt with M300 steel during high velocity and p ressure can erode crack on M300 steel nozzle to induce the p ropagation of the crack by impacting force of the zinc alloy melt,which can re2 sult in the failure of the M300 steel nozzle. The surface quali2 ty and dimension p recision can meet requirements by the imp ro2 ving the mould structure and p rocess, adjusting the parameters and pouring methods and app lying ceram ic gating system.
