【導(dǎo)讀】本節(jié)課是讀、練為主的詞匯教學(xué)課。wordpower是幫助學(xué)生進(jìn)行詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的有效途徑，方法，從而達(dá)到拓展詞匯的目的。本節(jié)課的設(shè)計(jì)主要讓學(xué)生了解隨著國際間的交流，文化的。相互滲透日益明顯，在英語單詞中有許許多多的外來詞的加入，使得英語詞匯越來越豐富。作為英語學(xué)習(xí)者，很有必要弄清楚這些詞的來源，以便掌握這些單詞來擴(kuò)大詞匯量。
【正文】 d the idiom and guess the meaning of each of them first. Then have students read explanations and learn their meanings. 2. Learn more idioms like this: His face is as black as coal. Without glasses she is as blind as a bat. The child is as bright as a button. Be careful of him. He’s as cunning as a fox. The twins are as like as two peas. The beautiful girl is as proud as a peacock. It’s impossible to persuade him. He’s as stubborn as a mule. You can’t ex pect her to do that. She’s as timid as a rabbit. [Explanation] 這一環(huán)節(jié)有兩部分：第一部分按照教材要求讓學(xué)生理解掌握一些與動(dòng)物有關(guān)的俗語；第二部分是補(bǔ)充了一些與生活相近的俗語以便擴(kuò)大課堂容量和增加學(xué)生的語言儲(chǔ)備。 Step 4: Homework Finish the two exercises on page 122 in Workbook.
