TPE can act as a substitute of rubber in many applications especially in automobile industry in China, which is developing in full speed offering ample potentials for the development of various thermoplastic elastomers. This paper mainly introduced the properties, applications, production situation, market consumption and developing trend of TPE, and raised the following suggestions on development and industrialization of TPE in China in the future: developing new type TPE synthesized with metallocene catalyst, accelerating industrialization and application of dynamic sulfuration technology and nanometer pound material technology, propelling the course of domestic production of TPE needed by auto industry, enhancing development of technologies of TPE modification and coapplication with other resins, promoting properties of TPE materials, working out new TPE ingredients, applying assisting agents, improving processing equipments and technologies, and so on.Keywords: thermoplastic elastomers, production, application, market, development收稿日期:20041120。作者簡介:梁誠,男,1968年出生,南京人,高級工程師,江蘇化學(xué)化工學(xué)會(huì)理事,畢業(yè)于南京化工大學(xué)化工系,長期從事有機(jī)化工原料的開發(fā)與信息工作,曾公開發(fā)表論文150余篇,多次承擔(dān)原化工部及化工信息中心組織的重點(diǎn)行業(yè)及產(chǎn)品的調(diào)研與論文撰寫工作?,F(xiàn)主要從事精細(xì)化工開發(fā)、咨詢與信息工作。
