【正文】 useum this weekend.M: I’ve heard about that. Shall we go together?5. W: Hi, Mike. This is Alice. M: Hi. How are things? W: Just fine, thanks. Uh, are you doing anything on Friday night? M: Hmm. Let me think. Oh, yes. Tom, my cousin, is ing that night, and I will meet him at the airport. W: Oh, that’s too bad! It’s my birthday. I’m having dinner with Daniel, and I want to invite a few people over and make it a party. M: I’m really sorry, but I won’t be able to make it. W: What a pity! But that’s OK.6. W: Hello. Can I help you?M: Yes, please. I want some information about a train to London.W: Certainly. When are you going to travel? Today?M: Oh, no. On Tuesday. I think there is one at about half past eleven in the morning.W: Let me see. Yes, there is. It arrives at half past one.M: That’s fine. How much is a ticket, please?W: Well, a single is twentyfive pounds.M: I’d like a return, please.W: Then that’s forty pounds.M: Here’s the money. Thank you very much.W: Not at all. Goodbye.7. W: You really should get some exercise, Tony. Why don’t you e birdwatching with me this weekend? M: That sounds boring. What’s birdwatching all about anyway? W: Bird watchers study birds in nature. It’s a great hobby. M: What’s the fun of it?W: We enjoy listening to different birds sing, looking at them fly and watching how they behave. M: What else? W: Well, it’s also relaxing to be around nature. And walking in the mountains helps you keep fit. M: Nothing’s more relaxing than watching TV in my airconditioned room. W: Oh. You’re hopeless!8. W: Oh, how nice! There’re only two weeks left this term. M: Do you have any plans for the vacation? W: In fact, I’ve got too many plans and I can’t make up my mind. M: Well, tell me, Tracy. Maybe I can help. W: OK, listen. Plan A — I go back to the United States and spend some time with my parents. I miss them a lot. Plan B — Travel around some places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, India...M: Wait, wait, and wait! Tracy, how much money do you plan to spend? We don’t make money ourselves. W: You’re right. I really shouldn’t spend too much money. M: Then, what’s your Plan C? W: Well! My Plan C is topsecret. M: OK. But maybe you can spend some time with me in my hometown. And you can have a traditional Spring Festival with my family. W: You’re so kind. In fact, to know more about Chinese culture is part of my Plan C.M: We can go to the temple fairs and watch dragon dance together.W: I also want to learn to make dumplings.M: Sure.W: Wow! It sounds like we’re going to have a wonderful vacation.9. Good evening, everyone. I’m here to talk to you about my painting. I used to paint in the evenings after work. These days, I have changed my timetable so that I work just four days a week instead of five. That leaves me with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to work on my painting. I’d love to give up my job pletely and spend all of my time painting, but I work in Information Technology and it pays pretty well. I want to study at an art college, so I have to keep the job for the money I need for the lessons.I first became interested in art in primary school. I would go outside during holidays with some paper and colored pencils, and just draw anything I saw, like gardens or scenery. During high school, we had art classes twice a week. There, I learned how to use chalk and different kinds of paint, like watercolors and oils. Those classes were really useful for me. I’ve been on a club called “painting holidays”, where you go out into the countryside, paint during the day, and then discuss your work with other artists after dinner. You learn so much talking to other people interested in the field. I’ll finish by showing you a video of the places I’ve visited. After that, there’ll be some time for questions. Thanks!10. W: Hello, Sunshine Sports Centre. Can I help you?M: Hello. My name’s David O’Connner and I would like some information about the centre. Is it open every day?W: It’s open every day except Mondays.M: How much is it to use your centre?W: Adults pay 28 pounds every month and children under 12 only pay 14 pounds.M: Can I practise all sports?W: Well, you can play tennis, football and basketball. But the swimming pool can only be used from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the weekend. M: May I have your address?W: Yes. 99 West Street. You can e over and try some sports. M: Oh, that’s good.W: Robert Smith is an assistant coach. You can find him when you e. He will show you around the centre. M: Robert, ROBERT?W: Yes.M: Well, thank you.W: Not at all, bye.13
