Global positioning satellite terminal can provide users with continuous high accuracy of position, velocity, and time information, so vehicle monitoring system positioning function can rely on global positioning system。 China mobile munications public wireless work afford munication channel between the positioning terminal and monitor terminal, has the features such as coverage munication fee. The GPS positioning system can effective process monitoring, guidance, and mand vehicle, moreover, can directly to stop the car theft behavior and avoid the occurrence of traffic congestion. Based on SCM ,the GPS positioning system design uses a microcontroller, SMS module, GPS accept module and LCD1602 display module , to display the GPS positioning information, and according to actual situation through the short message mode to control the AT89C52 to send the received GPS positioning informationto to monitor terminal and open circuit car is practical, easy to operation, and has strong expanded function .
