Competence, training and awarenessThe organization shall ensure that any person(s) with the authority to performing tasks on its behalf that can have the potential to cause (a) significant environmental impact(s) identified by the organization is (are) petent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills and/or experience.The organization shall identify training needs associated with its environmental aspects and its EMS. It shall provide training or take other action to meet these needs. The organization shall establish and maintain procedures to make persons working for it or on its behalf aware of:a) the importance of conformity with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system。b) the significant environmental impacts, actual or potential, of their work and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance。c) their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformity with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system, including emergency preparedness and response requirements。d) the potential consequences of departure from specified operating procedures. CommunicationWith regard to its environmental aspects and environmental management system, the organization shall establish and maintain procedures for:a) internal munication between the various levels and functions of the organization。b) receiving, documenting and responding to relevant munication from external interested parties.The organization shall decide whether to municate externally about its significant environmental aspects and document its decision. Control of Ddocuments controlDocuments required by the environmental management system and by this International Standard shall be controlled. The organization shall plan these operations, including maintenance, in order to ensure that they are carried out under specified conditions by:a) establishing and maintaining documented procedures to cover control situations where their absence of documented procedures could lead to deviations from the environmental policy and the objectives and targets。b) stipulating operating criteria in the procedures。c) establishing and maintaining procedures related to the identifiable significant environmental aspects of goods and services used by the organization and municating applicable procedures and requirements to suppliers and contractors.
