【正文】 ave led to great public concern due to incidents that occur every yr in Taiwan. This review demonstrates the implementation of a food safety control system in Taiwan. In the past decade, in order to control foodborne outbreaks effectively, the Taiwanese Department of Health launched a food safety control system which includes both good hygienic practice (GHP) and HACCP plans. From 1998 to the present, 302 food organizations that implemented the system have been validated and accredited via a wellestablished audit system. It is concluded that the implementation of a food safety control system in pliance with international standards is of crucial importance to ensure plete safety and high quality of foods, not only for domestic markets, but also for international trade. 27.
