【導(dǎo)讀】過去由江蘇省自學(xué)考試指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)制定的英語(yǔ)?？瓶忌匦薜恼n程《英美概況》，現(xiàn)在改為全國(guó)高等教育自學(xué)考試指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)制定的課。不僅范圍擴(kuò)大了，內(nèi)容增。多了，從原來主要涉及英、美兩國(guó)的政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、自然地理等方面的情況和兩國(guó)歷史上各個(gè)時(shí)期的社會(huì)政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化等方面的情況擴(kuò)展。到囊括英、美、加、澳、新五國(guó)的歷史、地理、政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化、藝術(shù)、風(fēng)土人情等眾多的內(nèi)容；而且，教材由原來采用的南京出版社出。版、劉銀同志編著的《英美概況》改為采用由外語(yǔ)教學(xué)與研究出版社出版、余志遠(yuǎn)同志主編的《英語(yǔ)國(guó)家概況》；原來正文僅225頁(yè)，而現(xiàn)。在教材則有正文564頁(yè)，比原來采用的教材頁(yè)數(shù)多了一倍以上，而且原來教材使用中文撰寫，而現(xiàn)在的教材使用英文撰寫。的廣大自學(xué)考生來說確是一個(gè)不小的改變，一個(gè)由易到難的大轉(zhuǎn)折。無怪一些已通過該門考試的考生看到新教材后咋舌搖頭，口出一個(gè)“難”。字，接著又額首慶幸自己已經(jīng)過了此“關(guān)”。
