【正文】 prestress level in AFRP tendons significantly influenced the cracking load of the beams, whereas no effect was found for the ultimate load due to the light reinforcing scheme ., tensioncontrolled section . The strain development of the AFRP was governed by the applied bending moment near the momentcritical region ., near midspan , rather than the prestress level that affected the strain development adjacent to the jacking end. When the Ig / Icr ratio decreased, prestress levels tended to in fluence the variation of the neutral axis depth, particularly for the service state. The present equation to pre dict the effective neutral axis depth may be used with an em pirical constant of 6 for AFRPprestressed members, rather than a value of 2 that is shown in the present provision, until a better expression is available. The present ACI440 equations to predict the effective moment of inertia were significantly influenced by the sectional prop erties of the beams, such as Ig / Icr ratios. The approach was reasonable for the beams with Ig / Icr = 25, whereas the approach overestimated the effective moment of inertia for the beams with Ig / Icr ratios greater than 55 so that stiff deflection predictions were achieved. The approach provided reasonable predictions for nonprestressed members 0% prestressing when the Ig / Icr ratio was less than The empirical equation proposed by Yost et al. 2021 showed good predictions for the effective moment of inertia, whereas the rationally derived Bischoff’s approach may have potential to be revised for FRPprestressed beams. The Ig / Icr ratio governed the deflection characteristics of the AFRP prestressed members until cracking occurred。 however, the prestress level was a more dominant factor at service state. The present provision of concerning the im provement of deformability ., reduce a prestress level in FRP tendons should be revised to include the critical deflec tion consideration. The research suggests that the prestress level for AFRP tendons be limited as low as 40% ultimate to satisfy the ACI318 deflection requirement. The approach showed consistent deformability indices irrespective of the sectional properties, whereas the CHBDC approach was significantly affected by the properties. The CHBDC approach may not be remended for a beam with high Ig / Icr ratios such as 77. A limit of the deformability index for the approach was suggested to be .
