It is based on the requirement for total noise at the Community boundary to be less than the following when all plants in the plex are operating: Time Total level (dBA) at Community boundary Day 65 Night 55 This shall be based on a measurement (sampling) time of not more than 15 minutes daytime and not more than 10 minutes at night. If any equipment to be used on the plant has an annoying tonal / narrowband noise characteristic then for the plant as a whole narrowband noise from equipment should be reduced in the relevant octave bands so it is below the broadband noise by the following amounts: Reduction of Sound Pressure Level (dB) 63 125 250 500 1k 2k 4k 8k Narrow Band Weighting Community noise 1 5 9 11 12 12 8 REPORT REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall produce noise reports, equipment and acoustic treatment schedules, and noise level plans to show the following information. Noise reports, to give noise design requirements, summary of significant noiseemitting equipment in each area, giving noise levels expected, acoustic treatment included in the design, and any particular features or considerations incorporated. Equipment noise schedules, to give list of equipment noise levels specified / ordered / Supplier data. Acoustic treatment schedules, to give lists of pipe lines requiring acoustic insulation, including insulation type, thickness and extent. Noise plans, to show expected noise levels in each area. In addition Process Pamp。ID39。s shall include extents of pipework acoustic insulation. The first report stage shall be near the end of initial design, and early enough to allow time for review by Owner before end of initial design. For this reporting stage, the initial noise design shall have been pleted. The reports and schedules shall include planned individual noise level requirements for all significant equipment and any anticipated acoustic treatment, whether or not included in equipment requisitions at that stage. The noise plans shall show anticipated noise levels in each area. Anticipated pipework acoustic insulation requirements shall be listed in line list format, showing extent and thickness. The Plant Insulation Specification shall include a section relating to acoustic insulation, defining the overall thicknesses and materials of construction called up in the acoustic insulation schedule. The second report stage shall be towards the end of detailed design. It shall be issued for review by Owner in time for possible changes requested by Owner to be incorporated before construction begins. For this reporting stage, the noise design shall have been pleted. The reports and schedules shall include supplier noise data for individual equipment and any acoustic treatment required. The noise plans shall show anticipated noise levels in each area. Pipework acoustic insulation requirements shall be listed in line list format, showing extent and thickness.
