Introduction With the informatization of our social life and the globalization of our economic activities, English is being an important tool for contacting with the outside world. The datum show that more than 70 precent scientists read English , 85 precent Email are written in English and that 90 precent electrosearching systems store imformation in English is a pulsory basic subjects in middle school in China and it plays a more and more important role in our daily life. For several decades struggling , our English teaching has developed and made some progress in all aspects including teaching methods ,teaching level ,teaching device and so on. But English teaching remains a lot of problems, such as behindhand equipment and outofdate teaching methods,especially in rural middle English teaching is taken seriously and from primary school, we begin to learn English, there are still a large amount of students with difficulties in learning English . For all kinds of reasons , when students move on to grade two and three , the polarizing phenomenon gets worse and worse . The number of the students with difficulties in learning English takes up over 40 percent or even worse . If this situation can39。 English learning . Though a part of students make a point of English learning , thay don39。t do a good review , get a bad score and gradually hate learning English .They wander in the classroom, do other things, some people even skip school situation.C. The characteristics of students with difficulties in learning English in rural middle schoolStudents with English learning difficulties in learning habits and learning quality mainly has following obvious characteristics2. 1. Lack of interest and initiative in learning English Research shows that, the various factors that influence learning ratio is: learning habits accounted for 33%, accounting for 26% of learning interest, intelligence factors accounted for 15%, family influence accounted for 5%, other factors accounted for 21%.Visiblely, next to learning habits , interest is the important factor influencing learning effects. In the middle school where I have worked ,there are a lot of students who are lack of interest in learning English and have weakwilled in learning . During their study process , the slow learners always meet in a passive state of learning . Lacking of interest in learning, selfconfidence and perseverance, they can not be firm and lasting on learning . A part of students have told me that , they want to learn English well for a short time . But they have no interest on it and they would feel uneasy when they have to learn English . They say that though they have learnt English for several years ,they still feel that they are out of the door . In the face of a failed in the English test time to time, they develop the habit of failure, inferiority plex and form a mind setIamnotgoodasothers.Expecially with the deepening of learning contents, the vocabulary increases and the content of grammar bees increaseing and plex .
