Keywords: Scanner, CCD, Manmachine interface, Multithread, Memory managementII ABSTRACT The MultiCCD scanners which are widely used in printing, scientific research, medical and other fields have important applications in opticalelectronicmachinery integration equipment. At present, with the rapid development a lot of industries need to archive large format materials. Therefore, the demand for largeformat scanner is increasing, while promoting the development and production of large format scanners. The main work of the largeformat scanner is to convert the analog signal to the digital signal which the puter can identify after converting the image39。s optical signal to the analog signal. In order to scan large format images, an effective approach is to capture images through multiple sensors, then splice the image to plete the largeformat scanner39。s work. The scanner use four same type CCD to capture the images then splice them into one. While the four CCDs scan asynchronously to acplish the photoelectric conversion in the process. The main work of this paper can be divided into two parts, hardware and software design. The first part is the hardware work, after analyzing the large format scanner39。s working principle and hardware system39。s performance parameters the development content and focuses of the work of largeformat scanner has been determined. The devices have been selected according to the parameters. Then we finished the scanner hardware circuit design and FPGA39。s timing design including the driver and configuration of the digitaltoanalog conversion chip. This is the important factor to the image quality. Converting the optical signal to the analog signal laid a foundation to enhance image quality which is the key to largeformat scanning. The second part is about the upper software system development. About this the paper introduced the demand, the division of the functional modules of the software and the threetier structure of the largeformat scanner software system firstly. Then the paper detailed the scanning interface design and implementation, focused on the design ideas of the multithreaded parallel data acquisition and memory management strategy to deal with the large amount of image data.
