Suggestion for the further study 26 Works Cited 28 I 摘要 本文以功能主義目的論為基礎(chǔ)，對(duì)圣經(jīng)（和合本）本中人名地名的漢譯進(jìn)行了探析。圣 經(jīng)是基督教的經(jīng)典，在西方社會(huì)有著其他文藝作品無(wú)法比擬的重要地位。圣經(jīng)和合本是中國(guó)漢譯本中最受歡迎的版本。然而，通過考察圣經(jīng)（和合本）的漢譯本，發(fā)現(xiàn)圣經(jīng)中存在著不少的錯(cuò)譯和誤譯。因此，此研究將運(yùn)用翻譯目的論中的目的論原則，連貫性原則和真實(shí)性原則對(duì)圣經(jīng)和合本中的人名地名的漢譯進(jìn)行分析。通過分析，結(jié)果顯示，圣經(jīng)和合本中人名的漢譯不能分辨人物性別，地名的漢譯不符合中文表達(dá)習(xí)慣。這一研究結(jié)果為后來(lái)學(xué)者對(duì)于圣經(jīng)的研究提供了一定的啟示。 關(guān)鍵詞 ：目的論；圣經(jīng)和合本；漢譯；人名地名 II Abstract The present paper makes an analysis of the Chinese translation of the proper noun in the Chinese Union Version (CUV) from the perspective of Skopos Theory. The Bible is the scriptures of the Christian, which plays an inparable role among other literary products in the west. The Chinese Union Version is the most popular one in China. However, there are some mistranslations for the toponym and eponym in the CUV. Therefore, the present thesis makes an analysis of the Chinese translation of the eponym and toponym of the Bible based on the skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule of the Skopos Theory. Through the analysis, it is found that the Chinese translation of eponym can?t provide the information to distinguish the gender of the character, and the Chinese translation of toponym doesn?t conform to Chinese translation habit. Relevant background This chapter makes a brief introduction to the Bible and its Chinese Union Version (CUV), as well as the Chinese translation of proper noun in the CUV. 1. The Bible and its Chinese Translation (CUV) The Bible, known as the ?Holy Scripture? or the ?Good Book?, is an authorized collection of texts sacred in Christianity and Judaism. There are many Bibles of various versions. The term “Bible” is shared by Judaism and Christianity, although the contents of each collection are varying from different religious groups. The Bible is widely believed to be the best seller all the time, having counted 100 million copies of sales annually, and has been a profound influence on literature and history, especially in the West where it had the largest number of publications. The Gutenberg Bible was the first Bible ever applied using movable type. Christians divide this anthology of ancient Hebrew and Greek writings into the Old Testament and the New Testament. And the Chinese Union Version (CUV) is the predominant translation of the Bible into Chinese which is universally used by Chinese Protestants, first published
