Other supportive references will be provided. 5 Date and titles of part 1 (Shiao) _______________________________________ 2/19 The chemistry of the cell (2) 2/26 The macromolecules of the cell (3) 3/4 Bioenergetics (5, 13) 3/11 Membranes and transport across the membranes (7, 8) 3/18 Enzymes (6) _______________________________________ 6 Chapter 2: The Chemistry of the Cell 細(xì)胞內(nèi)的化學(xué) 生命的基本單位是 細(xì)胞 (cells)，生命體是由許多分工複雜的細(xì)胞所組成，高等生命體須能執(zhí)行生長、生殖、新陳代謝、對生長環(huán)境具有反應(yīng)能力等等生命現(xiàn)象。生命科學(xué) (life science) 泛指研究生命體何以能表現(xiàn)生命現(xiàn)象的科學(xué)。 生命現(xiàn)象均可視為生命的基本單位 (細(xì)胞 ) 因其所含的生物分子 (biomolecules) 特質(zhì)，依化學(xué)與物理原則運(yùn)作下所呈現(xiàn)的。了解生物分子的基本化學(xué)性質(zhì)，有助於掌握生命現(xiàn)象的原理和規(guī)律。細(xì)胞運(yùn)作的化學(xué)原理並無因控管生命現(xiàn)象而有不同。 細(xì)胞運(yùn)作的化學(xué)原理 7 The importance of carbon (C) 生物分子的組成和功能上的複雜性是建立在含碳化合物 (有機(jī)化合物 ) 的多元性而來 生物分子大致可分為下列四大項(xiàng) : 1. 胺基酸 (amino acids)、勝肽 (peptides)、蛋白質(zhì)(proteins) 2. 醣類 (carbohydrates)
