To facilitate students with interpreting procedures and basic skills and strategies, such as memory training, notetaking, oral presentation and public speaking, etc. Teaching Objectives ? To arise students’ awareness of current affairs and background knowledge ? To cultivate students’ ability of discourse analysis, logical thinking, crosscultural munication and interpretation both from English to Chinese and vise versa. Definition of Interpreting ? It is defined as “oral translation of a written text”. ? It is a service activity with a munication function. It is usually a facetoface municative act.
