【正文】 Part Eight 一、句子的向左擴(kuò)展與向右擴(kuò)展 ? 2. 漢語(yǔ)句子的向左擴(kuò)展（ leftextension） ? 原因 ? 1）漢語(yǔ)中的定語(yǔ)（詞、詞組）幾乎都是前置的，位于中心詞之前，而且有時(shí)定語(yǔ)部分會(huì)比較長(zhǎng)，造成了句子的向左擴(kuò)展 ? 例：今天， 駕駛新型波音 767和 757客機(jī)的 駕駛員借助新的激光陀螺儀進(jìn)行操作。 ? Today pilots flying the new Boeing 767 and 757 aircraft navigate with the aid of new laser gyroscopes. ? 《 中華人民共和國(guó)憲法 》 明確規(guī)定，“婦女在政治的、經(jīng)濟(jì)的、文化的、社會(huì)的和家庭生活 等方各方面享有同男子平等的權(quán)利”。 ? The Constitution of the People’s Republic of China clearly stipulates, “Women enjoy equal rights with men in all spheres of life, political, economic, cultural and social, including family life.” ? 昨天下午在辦公室與她談話(huà)的 那個(gè)人已經(jīng)被解聘了。 ? The man who had a talk with her in the office yesterday afternoon has been dismissed. ? 2) 漢民族習(xí)慣于先對(duì)事情發(fā)生的背景進(jìn)行鋪墊，從側(cè)面說(shuō)明，闡述外圍環(huán)境，最后點(diǎn)出話(huà)語(yǔ)的中心信息。 ? A. 時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)這些狀語(yǔ)成分放在句首 ? 例： 今天上午八點(diǎn)到十二點(diǎn) ，新同學(xué)在物理實(shí)驗(yàn)室工作。 ? The new students were working at the physics laboratory from 8 to 12 this morning. ? 昨天晚上七點(diǎn)半在劇院門(mén)口 ，我遇到了我 多年未見(jiàn)的 中學(xué)同學(xué)。 ? I met with my middle school classmate at the entrance of the theater at 7:30 yesterday evening, whom I haven’t seen for years. ? B. 原因、條件、讓步等狀語(yǔ)成分的前置 ? 例：去年秋天， 我接到全國(guó)總工會(huì)的邀請(qǐng) ，到背景參加國(guó)慶節(jié)慶祝活動(dòng)。 ? I went to Beijing last Autumn to attend the National Day celebrations at the invention of AllChina Federation of Trade Union. ? 如果機(jī)器發(fā)生故障 ，就把電門(mén)關(guān)上。 ?
