【正文】 TRANSPORT DOCUMENTS Introduction: The main transport documents used in international trade is the bill of lading. There are four functions of a bill of lading: 1. Acting as a receipt for the goods from the shipping pany to the exporter. 2. Being evidence of the contract of carriage between the exporter and the carrier. 3. Original bills of lading are usually issued in sets of two or three and the number of originals will be indicated on the bill of lading.
