With the elevation of social standing of music, how to wake up the awareness as well as to confirm the subjectivity of national music dooms to be necessity. Mr. Huang Zi , a musician and educationist, is one of the representatives in the domain of art song in China in 1930s. During the 8 years of teaching in Shanghai State Training Conservatory, Mr. Huang has trained plenty musicians and posers with great attainments as Mr. He Lvting. The art songs posed by Mr. Huang have imposed great influence on the Chinese posers, acpanied with giant significance onto the development of art songs in China. This study tries to explore the art songs posed by Mr. Huang Zi, from the respects of application of musical languages, bination of lyrics, rhythm, tones and melody, along with the portray of artistic conception, to display the national characteristics of Chinese art songs.【KEYWORDS】China, art songs, Huang Zi, nationality目 錄
