【正文】 意為“這時(shí)；突然”；當(dāng)位于句末的分句具有引種用法時(shí)，大致有以下三種情況： ? A. when 分句前面的分句使用過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)。 ? （ 2 ） I was thinking of this when I heard my name called. 我正想著這件事時(shí)，突然聽(tīng)到有人叫我的名字。 ? 如： （ 1 ） We were about to start when it began to rain. 我們剛要出發(fā)就開(kāi)始下雨了。 ? C. when 分句之前的分句用過(guò)去完成時(shí)，其中 sb had hardly / scarcely /barely … when 已成為固定詞組。 ? （ 2 ） He had scarcely arrived when he had to leave again. 他剛剛到達(dá)就又要離開(kāi)了。 ? 如： How can I get a job when I can39。 ? 如： （ 1 ） How can I help them to understand when they won39。 ? B. when 從句中使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣，意為“本來(lái) …… 卻 ……” 。 ? （ 2 ） She stopped trying when she might have succeeded next time. 她本來(lái)下次有可能獲得成功，但她卻不再嘗試了。 ? 5. 由 when 等引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句，如果主語(yǔ)與主句的主語(yǔ)一致或是 it ，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞又含 be 動(dòng)詞時(shí)，主語(yǔ)和 be 動(dòng)詞常常被省略，就變成“ when + Ving/ Ved/ adj/ 介詞詞組”的結(jié)構(gòu)。 ? （ 2 ） When （ we are ） young， we are full of hope. 年輕時(shí)，我們大家總是充滿希望。t reach sideways when standing on a ladder. 站在梯子上時(shí)，不要側(cè)著身子去夠東西。 ? 如： What’s three and six? ? 。 ? 如： There are two pencils and an eraser in the pencilbox. ? 注意： and連接兩個(gè)詞做主語(yǔ)時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)要用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如： We have books and 。 ? 如： Come and meet my family. ? 注意，當(dāng) and連接兩個(gè)相同的動(dòng)詞時(shí)，表示動(dòng)作的反復(fù)或強(qiáng)調(diào)。 ? 。如： you and I我和你， he and I我和他。如： Where are Hangzhou, Changsha and Siping? on ? 一 . 作介詞： 1. 表示位置：在 …… 上 Lucy’s coat is on the desk .
