Gatelevel (SSI) Design Step 1 From the specification of the circuit, determine the required number of inputs and outputs and assign a symbol to each. Step 2 Derive the truth table that defines the required relationship between inputs and outputs. Step 3 Obtain the simplified Boolean functions for each output as a function of the input variables. Step 4 Draw the logic diagram and verify the correctness of the design. 43 Design Procedure 1. The method of 2’ s plement arithmetic is monly used in puter to handle negative number. 2. 2’ s Complement（補碼） The 2’ plement of a binary number is found by adding 1 to the LSB of 1’s plement. 2’ plement= (1’ plement)+1 1 + 010011 2’ s Complement 41 Introduction 1.
