【正文】 o Chinesekeep a wary eye on strangers and trust with the increase of contact people’s inner defense will increase in western countries, because westerners pay great attention to individual privacy, they don’t want to share privacy with friends (Zhang, 20xx). Thirdly, Friends’ responsibility is different. Chinese have high expectations to friends pared with people in western countries (Park, 20xx). The reason which causes the difference is the different history reason. China was an agricultural society for thousands of years. The agricultural required the labor to have concentration of cooperation, so the interpersonal relationship was quite important. Western culture was based on mercial munity. They value individualism and advocate personal freedom (Schuler, 20xx). Based on the literature research, a survey will be carried out through questionnaire to examine the ideas. And conclusion would be put forward through bining literature research with questionnaire result. . According to literature review, the differences in friendship concept can be shown from the three aspects. This is an empirical study. The following questionnaire is designed based on the literature review, in order to confirm the ideas. Specifically, the research questions in the questionnaire were: 1 .Does Chinese attach more importance to friendship than western students? people in western countries establish friendship more quickly than Chinese？Does Chinesemore long for lasting friendship than the west? Chinese have higher expectation to friends than people in western countries? The interviewees that participated in this study are all undergraduates from CQU who major in different subjects, including eight female Chinese, eight male Chinese, three female and three male people in western countries, which includes America, England, France. Their ages are between 17 and 23, in order to control age difference and sex difference. Collection As mentioned above, the methodology of interviewing is using questionnaire. The questionnaire containing 8 questions is released on the Inter for Chinese and is sent face to face for foreign students. 22 interviewees have finished the questionnaire. The data are collected after 3 days since the questionnaire was given out. Analysis 22 questionnaires has been analyzed and statistics have been made into pie charts or column graphs. The data can be categorized into three aspects. By paring the data conclusion would be put forward. AND FINDINGS Figure 1 As can be seen from the figure1, when it es to sorting the importance of friendshipand love, % of Chinese students think friendship is more important than love. 67% of foreign students think that love ismore important than friendship.
