, strong structure, good faulttolerant, wide range speed modulation , low starting current, high speed accuracy, high temperature, and it can be started or stopped frequently, but also excellent controllability based on the electric and mircroputer . Thus, Switched Reluctance Motor is widely used in drive and speed adjustment field. Firstly, the background and significance of the project were given. The structure of the position control system of SRM was operational principle and control modes of SRM were discussed. The output torque could be indirectly controlled by the rotor angular acceleration closedloop control of SRM. The position control strategy was also presented .In the Matlab/Simulink interactive simulation integrated environment, module construction, simulation and analysis of control system of SRM were given. And then, the hardware and software of control system of SRM were designed. The design of hardware mainly includes the least system of DSP TMS320LF2407, the position detection circuit,the current detection circuit,the keyboard and display circuit , the munication interface of upper puter and the power of software mainly includes the main procedure, the modules initialization subroutines, the subroutines and the interrupt service subroutines. Finally, the experiment system was established with a three–phase 6/4 structure lowpower SRM prototype as action simulation results were given.
