ASM samples signal with no strictly equal intervals in order that each sampling point is close to synchronous sampling point. ASM can modify sampling intervals in time according to the variations of signal frequency in every signal cycle and finish a sampling process in a signal cycle. ASM also provides an error correction formula deduced from Matrix Inversion Theorem to clear up the error originated from approximate synchronous sampling.
