Mean while it possesses characteristics of lower oil consumption and rapid response, superior than the traditional manual transmission(MT). And so it is a kind of promising product. In the dissertation, much effort has been made on the mechanical structure design of clutch actuating mechanism. First, introduce the principle and development of AMT. And next, three feasible designs are proposed according to the structure and requirement of the clutch. Those are gearscrewdriven, wormdriven, and Harmonicdriven. By parison, the more petitive design was the wormdriven, which was determined as the last design of the clutch. Following, calculating and selecting DCmotor, sensor etc. The last, to design the overall structure and parts in detail., to plete the final assembly. The design of the clutch actuating mechanism has the characters of simplestructure, paction, simplemachining, lowprice, and so on..
