Here are some guidelines: Work areas need must be free from trash and debris Walking surfaces must be free from tripping, slipping and stumbling hazards Work and equipment storage areas must be free from disorder Aisles must be marked and kept clear Stairwells must be welllighted and should be clean, free of any extraneous items and never used for storage of any kind Use signs to warn of hazards Housekeeping is part of your job since it is a key component of safe workplace.
